Aneesh Chavan
CS PhD student at CRΔL, UVA
Charlottesville, Virginia
Hey! I’m a first-year PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia, advised by Dr. Rohan Chandra at CRΔL. My work at UVA revolves around trying to close the sim2real gap with 3D Gaussian-based digital twins, complete with intelligent dynamic agents, physics-based object interaction and a focus on scaling up data generation. In the long term I’d like to design robotic agents that can function alongside humans, extend their understanding of the world around them and develop the One Representation to Embed them All.
I got my MS by Research and Bachelors in Computer Science at IIIT-H advised by Dr. Madhava Krishna as part of the Robotics Research Center. My Master’s thesis was about object instance re-identification and using it to perfom robot localization.
Feel free to reach out to me to connect, collaborate, or just to say hi!
